Dr. Basak's path to neurology was unusually deliberate — through the long door of internal medicine, with a year as Chief Consultant at a COVID-19 ICU in Vashi between 2020 and 2021.
She manages stroke, epilepsy, headache and migraine, vertigo, movement disorders, peripheral neuropathies, cognitive decline, and autoimmune neurological disease. The work is informed by a strong academic spine — contributions to two of the foundational textbooks of medicine, peer-reviewed papers, and a 2024 award from the Indian Academy of Neurology.
